ages: 14 – adult
This is individualized tutorial instruction designed for motivated students interested in developing a successful Fine Arts portfolio for college admissions requirements. The curriculum will vary depending on each student’s needs but in general it usually consist of still life, figure studies (nude model fee included) and self portraiture alternating between a variety of drawing (realistic tone, gesture, contour, charcoal, pastel), collage and painting (acrylics) techniques within an Art Historical context. Homework will be assigned  to promote maximum developmental improvement as well as additional portfolio pieces.
Instructor: Leonard Antinori
Saturday: 6 – 7:30PM  •  Twelve sessions: $500.

Materials

Students will be required to have the following supplies the first day of class. If necessary, additional materials will be outlined by the instructor and required at various times during the semester. The instructor will distribute additional supplies not listed. It is highly recommended that each student purchases and utilizes a portfolio case that is waterproof, stiff and large enough to store all drawing pads and finished art works.

  • one 18′ x 24′ rough newsprint pad
  • four 6B and two 2B drawing pencils
  • a kneaded eraser
  • a smock

*Because of the use of nude models in this class, each student below the age of 18 will require the written permission of a parent or guardian.
